The Girl with the Billy Bookcase Tattoo

After an 8km drive across the Öresund Bridge we arrived in Sweden, the land of Ingmar Bergman, Ace of Base and King Gustav III.

We began in Malmö, Sweden's 3rd largest city and most multi-cultural. We didn't spend much time there but it was quite nice. This is the Kungsparken.

The following day we jumped on some bikes and explored the beautiful countryside of Scania, Sweden's southernmost province which was Danish until 1658.

We reached the university town of Lund for lunch

We then traveled to Sweden's 2nd largest city, Gothenburg.

The weather on day 1 was poor so we went to a few museums. The highlight was the world's only "stuffed" blue whale.

When the weather cleared up we took a ferry to the Southern Gothenburg Archipelago and wandered around Vrango.

In addition to Saabs and Volvos, the streets in Sweden also seem to be full of trucks loaded with drunk, screaming, dancing and screaming 18 year-olds dressed as sailors.

It's their last week of school so they've decided to be loud.

Josh's dad has worked for IKEA for about 25 years, so Josh is basically 4.7% Swedish. Of course we indulged in the traditional cuisine at the Gothenburg IKEA store.

Following this, our plan was to camp by Lake Siljan for a few days but luckily we checked the weather report first because it snowed there. In June!!!!

It turns out that Sweden has over 96,000 lakes that are also pretty good. Here are a few of them
