Urban Switzerland

Switzerland is known for its great metropolises, soaring skyscrapers and urban jungles. Well, maybe not but we did spend a little time in some of its cities.

The lake in Zurich is quite spectacular and incredibly clear.

Also at night.

The Limmat which flows into Lake Zurich.

We stayed at a campsite quite near the city which was super expensive. During our stay in the campsite we saw three Porsches and two Ferraris. Needless to say we struggled to afford anything in this land of excess.

 Basel has several cool fountains...

an interesting town hall...

and a temporary beach volleyball stadium in the town square.

Lucerne is very pretty.

Across the Reuss river are a couple of bridges

Within the bridges are paintings from the 17th century depicting events from the town's history (mostly involving skeletons).

We also visited Geneva where we met up with our Swiss friend Aidan. You can't really tell from this picture but he is very Swiss.

  1. Nice photos! Guess I will have to see the rest of Switzerland now that you have made it interesting (this is not a comment)
