Part I - Winter 2011/2012

We bought the car in Amsterdam, drove to Cologne, through Belgium for the Christmas markets and cut through France to get to Spain. After the north of Spain we did Portugal and headed across to Morocco. Morocco is in a different colour because we left the car in Spain. After collecting the car, we drove back through Spain to Andorra and the South of France. Part 1 ended in London with the wedding of Josh's cousin Oliver.

Part II - Spring 2012

Part III - Summer 2012

From Bergen, we spent a few more days exploring the Norwegian fjords and then drove up to Jokkmokk so that we could say that we'd been to the Arctic circle. We spent about a week in Finland before getting a ferry to over the Baltic Sea to Tallin, Estonia. From there, it was a matter of zigging and zagging across central Europe to make it to Italy in time to meet up with Josh's parents. We also took a week off from Homer at the end of August, when we went to the Greek isles, hence they are in a different colour.

Part IV - Autumn, 2012

We drove all the way to Sicily and then made our way back up Italy's boot, we crossed the alps into Austria and then spent the rest of Autumn in Eastern Europe, starting with Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and then all the former Yugoslav countries, a well as Albania. We finished with a final visit to Greece, this time seeing the sites that the mainland had to offer.

Part V - Winter 2012/2013

We snaked our way back to Northern Greece, leaving Homer in his literary home while we bused to the very edge of Europe i.e. Istanbul. Then we parted ways for the first time on this trip, with Josh flying off to visit his family in India, and Yaz to her family in Israel. After a splendid reunion in Istanbul, we flew to Cappadocia, in central Turkey for a few days, then once again to Istanbul. Then we flew to Sydney for 2 weeks, then back to Istanbul once more. After busing back to Homer, we concluded our trip by driving him back to his registered home in the Netherlands, where we parted ways forever.
